You will usually need two of these fixings per bar, unless the bars are very long and you wish to use supports part way along as well as at the ends.
There is a hole right through the fixing, so that they can support points along the length of the bar, as well as the ends.
They are 2-part fixings -
The inner brass boss can be screwed to the wall
The outer part fixes to the boss using a grub screw and supports the bar
